Our reading program starts right from the beginning. No need for your child to even know the alphabet first! Each set includes 10 books that teach phonics in a clear, step-by-step way. Each book has a built-in "mini-lesson" which keeps the program simple and easy. Then, the child reads the charming story to master what was taught in the lesson. No lesson manuals! Our beautiful, charming illustrations enhance the story but don't create the bad habit of guessing instead of reading. Kids love our wholesome, engaging characters and surprise-filled stories. The “Blending Path” teaches the children to blend sounds which is a very important part of reading that is missed in most programs. The "Follow Dash the Pony” finger puppet exercises improves focus and is fun! Our motivational sticker chart in each book help kids track every step they master.
The phonics and sight word progression is logical, easy, and not overwhelming. We never ask the child to read a word or sound in the story they haven't already mastered. Our phonics program BUILDS reading confidence this way.
This is a full reading program for grades Pre-K and Kindergarten, but is also a great supplement to any phonics reading program that needs more engaging and fun learning.
Set 1 Books starts right at the beginning -- your child doesn't even need to know the alphabet! Set 1 teaches the first few sounds and sight words they need to know, and how to blend them so they can decode simple CVC words and read their very first book. 10 Books, a parent guide, stickers, tote bag and paper finger puppets.
