We used another popular open and go language arts curriculum for 2 years without much progress. I was close to putting my son in reading therapy but since we started this reading program last month, their progress has exploded!! They are both recognizing the phonics in the books as well as other books. I am so happy I could cry! Love this gentle and fun reading program.
So far love it. Each week focuses on a book. First few pages are practicing sounds and blending them to creat works in the books. Each book has lots of different activity pages connected. Her favorite activity was word bingo from words in the book.
Dont love the wonder workshop-some art and concepts feel more adult. Hated the princess and the pea book which focuses more on reading retention and not reading on her own. Kinda wish school programs would leave teaching emotions, relational concepts, values, morals to the parents.
We've enjoyed making our way through these books and they've challenged my son at a good pace. Nice pictures and stories!
The reading books have been a dream come true! And they are incredibly cute too. My kids love them!
It almost seems slightly advanced, but it's good and my son has already started it.
Love the set, this is my second time purchasing them I wish there was a set for a small classroom.
I love using the art, poetry and music in our homeschool. I do wish there was more exploration of artists from a wider variety of backgrounds, and am hoping that's added in future years. I'd also love to see more advanced Wondershop for older/advanced learners or copy work added for some of the featured poetry.
Blends seamlessly with the reading program and is so fun!
I cannot scream loudly enough how amazing the Dash reading program is (and as a former K-1 public school teacher, I have tried a lot of different programs). We did the Kindergarten level last year and my kiddo absolutely THRIVED with this program. The science-backed approach of phonics first plus the motivation of being able to actually start reading a story within a few days was so fun for her ,and she flew through all 10 books; so far it's the same story with this program, and we only started a couple weeks ago. We love the illustrations, colors, and characters (all of which is so helpful for my creative little one), but the phonics approach is unmatched. I have recommended this program to every new homeschooler I've met and I will keep doing it because it works and we LOVE it. Thanks, Amelia and team!
It's feels like a fun madlibs type way of teaching grammar.
Love it, I feel like a lot of writing books out there will do an abrupt transition to just writing without tracing and this one has a good blend of both while doing a great job of reinforcing teaching sight words and letter blending.
It has a great example of using Cam the cat to teach filling the appropriate section of the lines. It also includes fun drawing, games, color by letter etc section that are a fun little break for kiddos. The website said it was for 1st grade but I think I'd personally find it more kindergarten level with some of the basics it's covering like how to write numbers 1-10. However, in other ways like practicing copying phrases and sight words it feels more 1st grade. So for me it feels like maybe some good K level review and some 1st grade level. If you have an advance writer though I'd move up to the next book!
Looks fun! We are excited to add this into reading set 3. It has a lot of paper play, some writing/drawing, board game, bingo and a puzzle amongst a few other fun interactive ideas. In true Dash into Learning fashion its also illustrated with all their fun characters!
Cute, great for princess loving littles. We loved the (I think it’s an old maid themed) game in this series bunches!
Fun series! My daughter loves them! I didn’t care too much for the game in the 3 bears activity pack it was alot of asking the same questions and my daughter got bored of it but we did like the games in the following stories in this series. They all typically come with a game, coloring pages, puppets and a recipe. The recipe was especially fun for the 3 bears it was making porridge together. While I think this book series creates great opportunities to connect with your child, enjoy some classic stories and create conversation I do wish it had more in depth and thorough emotional conversations/details. The whole series feels well suited for younger kiddos TK/K in my opinion. Very cutely done in adorable Dash into learning fashion!
Our students love these. My very first Montessori mentor encouraged me to have children choose the letter they thought they wrote the best. I was happy to see that this is incorporated into the “dash into learning” writing books.
After my child completed the Level 1 reading set we are so eager to get started on the Level 2 set. This program has worked really well for my child and makes learning to read so much fun!

What a beautiful and gentle way to start our mornings. Our whole family has benefited from this enrichment program (even Mum and Dad). It's laid out in such a thoughtful and easy-to-use way, and I love that it's all in one place.
I got this beautiful resource with my youngest in mind, however, my big kids and I are absolutely loving it! We are loving the poems, activities, proverbs and artworks. I'm so grateful for this incredibly sweet addition to our homeschool days. Thank you for piecing it together so thoughtfully!

We are still getting through level one but I bought both levels 1 and 2 together. Level two looks to be a great continuation of print handwriting. Once we finish both levels, my daughter wants to start cursive! I love how motivating these books are.
The spelling curriculum might me my favorite of all of the Dash products! I love the scope and structure and how it's laid out. The continuation of stories throughout multiple chapters is so clever because it motivates my child to keep going. Love it!
