This program teaches cursive through precise movement patterns for each letter by using voice cues and finger repetition. Dash the pony helps kid remember it! This method is different than learning through visual cues only. Memorizing the letter formation without visual cues, but instead with voice/chanting cues is the best way to learn to write cursive. Visual cues only (following dots, or colors, or arrows) will lead to using the eyes to guide and be more like drawing. Writing is a different process than drawing. It needs to be an automatic, memorized pattern. That is the focus of our cursive program along with all our fun activities to keep kids engaged and loving it!
Activities include mazes, games, matching, building puppets, learn to draw, I spy, coloring, and more!
Your child can learn cursive with our program before they have learned traditional print handwriting, OR they can learn cursive with our program after learning print first. We recommend this program for kindergarten-3rd grade.
Book 1 covers all the lowercase letters in the alphabet.
Book 2 covers the uppercase letters and beginning to write words in lowercase cursive.
Book 3 combines lowercase and uppercase letters together with copy work phrases to mastery of cursive.
