This program teaches cursive through precise movement patterns for each letter by using voice cues and finger repetition. Dash the pony helps kid remember it! This method is different than learning through visual cues only. Memorizing the letter formation without visual cues, but instead with voice/chanting cues is the best way to learn to write cursive. Visual cues only (following dots, or colors, or arrows) will lead to using the eyes to guide and be more like drawing. Writing is a different process than drawing. It needs to be an automatic, memorized pattern. That is the focus of our cursive program along with all our fun activities to keep kids engaged and loving it!
Activities include mazes, games, matching, building puppets, learn to draw, I spy, coloring, and more!
Your child can learn cursive with our program before they have learned traditional print handwriting, OR they can learn cursive with our program after learning print first. We recommend this program for kindergarten-3rd grade.
Book 1 covers all the lowercase letters in the alphabet.
Book 2 covers the uppercase letters and beginning to write words in lowercase cursive.
Book 3 combines lowercase and uppercase letters together with copy work phrases to mastery of cursive.

This curriculum focuses on learning the formation of letters. We use our signature creative way to engage children in learning these concepts. It's filled with adorable activities with all our favorite characters. Lots of activities focus on gaining hand eye control with the pencil -- lots of fun drawing practice!
Fun ways to learn handwriting concepts such as Cam the Cat puppet, and Cam's Changing C are used and very successful!

Dash into Handwriting Book 1 comes in PRINT OR D'NEALIAN. Please choose which option works for you. Photos show the difference in the font. Print is standard in most schools and easier for younger children. D'Nealian is better for transitioning to cursive and has less strokes so is faster and easier. Choose which version works better for your child.

Shipping Cost: Shipment cost for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. We currently use USPS to fulfill
product orders.
Fulfillment Time: Items that are in stock are generally shipped within 1-3 business days. During periods of high volume, items may take up to 5 business days to ship after an order is placed.
Shipping times vary based on what shipping method the customer selects at checkout. Average domestic shipping times generally range between 3-5 business days depending on shipping service selected, and international shipping times generally range between 10-15 business days.
Digital Purchases: All digital purchases will be available to you immediately after your purchase by delivery to your email account. If you do not find the email shortly after your order, please check the spam folder in case it was redirected in your email account. If you are unable to find it, please contact us via Info@DashintoLearning.com and we will provide them to you directly. We CANNOT refund/return individual digital purchases.
Some of our products include physical books and PDFs digital products. We do accept returns on these products that include a physical book purchase. Please follow the above refund process.
International Shipping
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed
at checkout. International shipping lead times can vary greatly. We strive to ship your order out the door as quickly as possible!
Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Dash into Learning is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
